The Food Access Fund helps communities meet urgent food needs while investing in shared logistics infrastructure that makes food access more efficient and affordable over time. Rather than requiring every pantry, healthcare provider, and community organization to build and fund its own transportation capacity, Food Connect creates shared systems that organizations can access across a region; reducing duplication, lowering the cost of last-mile delivery, and ensuring more resources go toward getting healthy food to people.
