Megha Kulshreshtha is the Executive Director of Food Connect, a nonprofit organization dedicated to bridging the gap between surplus food and hunger through collaboration and technology. Food Connect has helped distribute over 1 million on-demand meals through their last-mile transport and logistics support in the hunger relief space.
Megha has over 10 years of experience in data and process solutions. She started her career in Finance as a Data Analyst and then as a Portfolio Analyst for US Equities at Aberdeen Asset Management. For the last 6 years, Megha has dedicated her technical background towards streamlining inefficiencies in the hunger relief space. The Food Connect app has helped over 650+ food vendors across the country donate their surplus food in real time. Over 700+ shelters have received free food donations through the app and are growing.
Megha continues to lead Food Connect's product testing and development to help track and understand real-time needs. Food Connect's work has been recognized in the hunger relief space for its innovation in collaboration, integrations, and food equity initiatives.
Aurica Donovan is the Community Relations and Program Director at Food Connect where she focuses on building partnerships and programs centered on hunger relief aimed at increasing food access to underserved communities. In her tenure, Aurica has led programs across the healthcare, education, and non-profit sectors to successfully combat critical levels of hunger worsened by the pandemic. Through these programs, Food Connect has been able to meet a significant goal of distributing more than 100,000 meals monthly. Prior to her current role, Aurica was Senior Director of Customer Success at Elsevier. There she focused on program operations for clinical solutions software applications supporting leading frontline healthcare organizations globally.
Aurica received her BA in International Relations and Asian and Middle Eastern Studies from the University of Pennsylvania. She received her MBA in Marketing and Management from NYU Stern School of Business. Additionally Aurica is a member of the Society of Human Resources Management and is a SHRM-Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).
Alex Jackson is the Logistics Director for Food Connect. Alex is responsible for all program logistics and dispatching management. With more than a decade of experience in logistics management, Alex knows the end-to-end process from driver to management. In his prior role, as Assistant Director, Healthcare Division, Alex managed a national program with more than 20 sites across the country, with more than 250 drivers, and 6 regional leads. Under his management, Alex led process development relating to drivers and distribution. During his tenure and with his critical contribution, the business grew significantly in profits and revenue.
Alex received his BA in General Education from Marshall University. He is currently studying to receive his MBA in Management from Marshall University. For Alex, being a part of and the work that Food Connect is focused on is a personal passion. Raised in a rural Appalachia community, he knows firsthand what food insecurity looks like. Growing up, Alex relied on many of the same types of programs that Food Connect helps and supports today with community food banks and meal distribution. For him, ending food insecurity and feeding those in need is a personal mission.
Kristina is a dispatcher at Food Connect. As someone who experienced hunger first hand growing up, she is dedicated to helping others fight hunger. Previously she was a Team Leader for different Fortune 500 Companies for four yrs focused on their customer service and technical support. In her 11 years of experience, in Business Process Outsourcing, like many others, she started at the bottom of the food chain, where she discovered her love for training other people. As she learns the ropes of the business, being a leader gives her a different kind of fulfillment in life.
Kristina studied Accounting at the University of the East - Philippines and has always dreamt of becoming a Lawyer. Despite battling blood cancer and while undergoing treatment she continues to give back to people by helping bridge the gap between surplus food and hunger so that Food Connect can help alleviate hunger not just in the U.S. but also in her country.
Stacey David is a dispatcher for Food Connect , took up BS Industrial Engineering and been a Customer Service Representative and was part of a Case Management team , for 12 years as she is mostly dealing with customer complaints.
They say 2020 is not a good year but for Stacey , it's her major breakthrough . Aug, 2020 , when she got hired as one of the dispatchers for Food Connect, a lady that has a lot of questions and uncertainty about the new position but is brave enough to face new challenges and responsibilities. She's never been excited working everyday since then , as she is also being used as an instrument to help others. For her, working and at the same time helping is the most fulfilling job.
Camille is a Dispatcher at Food Connect. After receiving her degree in communications and advertising, Camille focused on working with the business process outsourcing industry, building expertise in customer and technical support. Throughout her career, she has held manager roles.
Camille was raised in a deeply religious family and attributes her heart for service to her upbringing. She is passionate about helping others and Camille describes Food Connect as her calling that gives her an opportunity to help more than just her own community fight against food insecurity.
Manny is a Dispatcher at Food Connect. With over 15 years experience in the BPO industry, he is a seasoned customer service team leader. As a graduate of Classical Philosophy at San Carlos Seminary in Makati, Philippines, he once considered joining the Catholic priesthood. Manny loves working with people and spends most of his free time with his family, cooking and traveling. Having traveled and worked extensively in other countries, he has developed a passion for cooking not only for himself but for those around him. He is excited to be a part of Food Connect, helping to eliminate food waste and feeding those in need in the community.
Mwita is highly motivated, resourceful and team oriented professional with an extraordinary blend of leadership, business and creative problem-solving skills.
Mwita served as a mentor to underrepresented middle and high school students in a program that highlighted various engineering principles. He developed a curriculum that would encourage students to pursue STEM fields in college. It was rewarding to witness students who were in their final year of the program graduate with university offers and intentions of STEM majors.
Sankalp enjoys turning ideas into great user experiences with elegant and maintainable code. Sankalp has had the opportunity to create applications from scratch for industry leaders like IDEO and Ford to smaller government organizations like the Santa Clara County Housing Authority. Prior to Sanpika Labs, Sankalp co-founded and ran Cloverbook, a SaaS company with products that work well across all platforms (mobile, desktop, and tablet). His thoughtful approach to engineering led to a significantly faster pace of development compared to well-funded competitors. Sankalp’s greatest compliment came when someone told him, “His code is so easy to read it makes me smile.” Sankalp has a degree in Information from Carnegie Mellon University.
Dipika has spent her career building online marketplaces and transaction platforms. She started at eBay where she rethought the mobile and search experience for millions of consumers. Her background in Human Computer Interaction from Carnegie Mellon University has helped her build strong usability intuition. At Zillow, Dipika has led cross functional technology teams to create a suite of tools to empower landlords.
Kyle is an entrepreneur and inventor. He was the co-founder and CEO of NarrativeDx, the industry leader in patient experience analytics. He grew NarrativeDx to support over 10% of the US healthcare market, including 14 of the top 20 US News and World Report Health systems, before being acquired by Press Ganey in early 2020. Today, NarrativeDx is installed in over 70% of hospitals and health systems nationwide and processes feedback for 99% of insured Americans. Kyle has received 5 patents on the Artificial Intelligence technology behind NarrativeDx. Prior to founding NarrativeDx, Kyle was a computer engineer for National Instruments, an intellectual property attorney at WilmerHale, and founder and CEO of iCare, the first mobile crowd-funding platform for non-profits.
Kate Schwass is the Executive Director of GreenLight Fund Bay Area. Kate has spent her career focused on the nonprofit sector, serving in leadership roles in small, local organizations and large, national institutions. Over the last decade, she's centered her work on issues of poverty, equity, and education.
Most recently, she served as the Founding Bay Area Executive Director and Interim VP of Development and Communications at CollegeSpring –a national nonprofit focused on helping low-income students realize their college potential. While at CollegeSpring, Kate tripled the number of students served locally, doubled the fundraising revenue, and built a diverse and committed regional board of directors. Previously, she served as the Director of Development for Envision Education, a Bay Area charter school network, overseeing fundraising, communications and enrollment. Before her time with Envision, Kate served in various roles in the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA), ultimately leading Northern California and Nevada as Regional Director and overseeing management, fundraising, and health care services at three district offices and five health care clinics. Prior to MDA, she worked in Santa Barbara at the Council on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse and United Way. Kate graduated cum laude with a concentration in Religious Studies from Westmont College. In 2017, Kate was named a Cross-Sector Leadership Fellow of the Presidio Institute, a program sponsored by the Obama White House in support of leaders working to unlock solutions to society’s most complex and pressing challenges.
Since joining GreenLight Fund in 2017, Kate has led investments in ParentChild+, EveryoneOn, and Food Connect and raised the Bay Area's $4M Fund II. She currently sits on the advisory boards for Springboard Collaborative, Blueprint Math Fellows, ParentChild+, and on the national board for Food Connect. She resides in Oakland, California with her husband and two children.
Jay Shah, President of Star Advisory Services, LLC, a boutique consulting firm, has significant experience in fund raising, mergers & acquisitions, strategy development & execution, operations, and finance. Jay has been involved with 30+ successful acquisitions/divestiture transactions, fund raises for early and mid-stage tech companies. Prior to Star Advisory Services, LLC, Jay was in executive management at Buckle Down Publishing, Haights Cross Communications, Films for the Humanities & Sciences, Primedia and Price Water house Coopers.
Jay received his BS from New York University, and an MBA from Columbia Business School.

In addition to being the Chair of IDEO.org's Board of Directors, Martin Schneider is a Managing Partner at Fine Capital Partners, a hedge fund based in New York City. Marty is the Founder and former President of Health Pages, a consumer website devoted to providing consumers with background, experience, and quality information about health care providers. He is also the Founder and former President of Physician Hospital Alliance, a company that provided out-patient medical services.
He currently serves as Chair of the Boards of Peer Health Exchange and Informed Patient Institute, and as Treasurer of the Boards of Consumer Reports and Populations Services International (PSI), and a partner at TSEF (The Social Entrepreneurs Fund).
He received a BA from Amherst College, an MBA from the University of Chicago, and a MSc from The London School of Economics. When his hip isn’t bothering him, he runs marathons and lives on the Upper West Side with his wife and three children.
Richard Vezina, MPH he is a seasoned public health and social sector leader with more than 20 years of experience in the field. He is currently a senior program officer at Blue Shield of California Foundation, leading the Foundation's work to align systems with community priorities in order to make California the healthiest state and end domestic violence. He spent a decade as consultant, leading evaluation and strategy engagements for foundations, nonprofits, and public agencies. Earlier, he worked in wide range research, fundraising, and programmatic roles for organizations throughout the United States. Richard holds a bachelor’s degree from Swarthmore College and a Master's of Public Health from the University of California, Berkeley. He lives in San Francisco with his husband, daughter, and dog.
